Introduction
During the first decade of the 21st century a popular and new word has come into our vocabulary. That word is Facebook. Facebook is a most popular social networking website in the internet where people form connections, both personal and professional. Facebook was founded on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerbeg with his college roommates and fellow students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The main idea of Facebook is that you can keep in touch with all your friends and family around the world who has Facebook. Today, millions of new visitors join the site every year, and people find relatives, old friends, new friends, and much more as they surf the entries of neighbors, acquaintances, and classmates. Facebook now allows anyone who rights to be at least 13 years old worldwide to become a registered user of the website, while proof is not required. Moreover, people can post status messages on their wall about what they are doing or thinking, share photos and videos, and comment on status messages or media of others in their network. Developers can use hooks into the Facebook system to build small games and applications that people can subscribe to, these allow users to involve socially with their connections, and they participate with Facebook in a way that allows the applications to post information to the user's walls as well.
Moreover, after creating a Facebook profile, user can identify friends who also have Facebook profiles. Once users confirm their relationship with them, user will see each other's status messages in their activity streams. Organizations and groups can also create a Facebook profile which is called pages, and user can "like" these to show their membership. As user develops his or her profile, user can allow Facebook to tell more or less information about him or herself to their friends, to friends of friends, and to the general public. Additionally, user can post brief updates about things there are doing, add photos identify other Facebook users who look in them, read and comment on the updates of others, and even chat via online Facebook friends. User can also browse games and applications and add it as favorite application in their profile. There are social activities, goal-oriented games, productivity applications, and apps that link to other social services that user may use, like Twitter. Note that these applications will often add updates to user Facebook stream that can be seen by their community.[6][15]
